It’s that time of the year again when there is a top ten of everything, films, songs, sports stars etc etc. After a lot of research here are the top three (I could do a top 100!) worst roads in the island (and possibly in the world). Countdown, drum roll please.
At number three: Vale Road/Route Militaire (like being on a rollercoaster!) Number two with a bullet: Doyle Road (like being in a washing machine!) Straight in at number one: Camp du Roi (like being in a washing machine, but on the spin cycle!!) It’s the only road I’ve ever experienced that makes the radio jump!
The thing that these roads have in common is that they have all been closed in the recent past for a considerable length of time, and yet none have been properly resurfaced. Is there a reason for this?
I’ve also noticed recently the amount of cars driving around with only one headlight, though I suspect maybe the bulbs have been shaken out driving along the aforementioned roads. This may be the same reason a lot of people’s indicators don’t seem to work.
I thought I’d have a moan about this instead of having a go at the States (again) for wasting all our money – again. Don’t even get me started on that.
It just remains for me to wish a Happy Christmas to one and all.
