Playing against host club Marist FC at the Lawson Tama Stadium in the Solomon Islands in front of 12,000 fans, Team Wellington trailed 1-0 at half-time to an Abraham Iniga strike before Angus Kilkolly hit a late equaliser.

Guernsey striker Allen played the full 90 minutes.

'We’re happy to come away with the point,' said Team Wellington coach Jose Figueria.

'Full credit to Marist, I think in the first half they were fantastic and pressed us really well and we weren’t able to get into our rhythm whatsoever,' the Englishman added.

'With the big crowd I think some of our players just lost their concentration, so credit to Marist for the way they came at us in the first half.'

Team Wellington's second of three matches in the group stage is on Tuesday against Lupe Ole Soaga.
