Beere eyes a treble
ST BRELADE is the venue for this weekend’s ‘2018’ Channel Island Finals.
Due to the ongoing inter-island travel difficulties, the annual events are now held the following year and among those featured, double Atlantic Rim Championship medal winner Lucy Beere aims to capitalise on her good recent form.
She faces a busy weekend, taking on Jersey’s Chris Grimes in the Ladies Singles and teaming up with Sophie Rabey and Jan Lawrence in the ladies triples.
She also plays alongside Matt Le Ber in the mixed pairs.
In the prestige men’s singles, Todd Priaulx will take on Ross Davis, who beat Le Ber 21-20 during the Atlantic Championships.
On their home greens Jersey are sure to be a force, but Guernsey will be thankful for not having to play on the island’s all-weather outdoor green.
