The Green Lions hit back from conceding the opening goal to Billy Montague in the 18th minute to be back on level terms by half-time thanks to Ross Allen’s penalty.
However, the visitors scored just two minutes into the second half through captain Sean Moore and GFC never really looked like finding a second equaliser.
They then gifted a third to Binfield’s Gabriel George with four minutes remaining.
‘A little bit disillusioned actually with that match and the manner of it, to be honest,’ said GFC manager Tony Vance afterwards.
‘Completely spoilt, we couldn’t get any momentum going. I guess I’ve got to give credit to the opposition because they controlled every area including the man who makes the decisions.
‘The players are really frustrated, to be honest. It was a very difficult game to play in.
‘We weren’t good enough either, but they just controlled the whole thing.
‘I’m just a little bit down really.’
