It means Guernsey finish 10th in National Two East, just a single point above Henley, who had hoped a win would see them secure their status for next season, but are now facing a relegation play-off due to results elsewhere.
The visitors showed their intent early on in glorious April sunshine, scoring in the first few minutes on their way to opening up a 19-0 lead after half-an-hour.
But Raiders hit back before the break, Callum Roberts finishing well from close range before some brilliant work from Ant Armstrong released Tom Teasdale to cross and cut the deficit to seven.
Any prospect of a come-from-behind victory for Guernsey was quickly wiped out in the second-half, though, as Henley ran in three tries before the hosts scored again, this time through John Dawe.
But by that point the wheels were coming off for Raiders with Henley crossing three more times to cap a brilliant showing from them and a troubling climax to a long league campaign for Guernsey.
‘It would be difficult to pick out anything from today that was positive for us,’ said Raiders director of rugby Jordan Reynolds.
‘To be honest, I’m probably more disappointed for the supporters who came and had to watch us finish our league season like that.
‘It’s always been a problem with Guernsey when Siam’s around the corner, the boys just stop playing.
‘I think there’ll be some soul-searching over the next couple of days and we’ll come in Tuesday and I think we’ll be firing, ready to go again.'
The result, a third defeat in a row for Guernsey this month, leaves them three places below their finish last season, having been on course for much better in November when they won six and drew one in a seven-game streak.
Reynolds’ men now have three weeks to prepare for the visit of Jersey on 16 May, when they will hope to give a bumper crowd much more to smile about.
Bury St Edmunds were crowned National Two East champions, edging Oundle to the title by two points after a 95-20 win over Old Albanians.
