The festival will bring together around 600 young players from Guernsey and Jersey, showcasing the very best of grassroots rugby. The event forms a key part of the wider Siam Cup celebrations, one of the oldest rugby competitions in the world.
The festival features fixtures spanning multiple age groups, from U7s through to the U18 Colts, with games starting at 10.30am.
The Guernsey Rugby Academy, which supports over 400 young players aged 4-18, continues to promote an inclusive and developmental environment built on the rugby core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.
‘The Junior Siam is the highlight of the rugby season for our players and we love hosting our friends and rivals from Jersey,’ said Academy chairwoman Bethan Haines.
‘Our volunteers put a huge amount into making it a fantastic day for our young people and their families with our rugby values on show.
‘A big thank you to Pentera Trust for sponsoring the Junior Siam event and to our main sponsors, Grant Thornton, for their continued support. The day wouldn’t happen without them.’
The 2026 festival will culminate a busy season for the Academy and provides a unique opportunity for young athletes to represent their island in a competitive but community-focused setting.
Ed Bayman, director of Pentera Trust, added: ‘We are proud and excited to be sponsoring the Junior Siam Cup for a second year as over 600 players and hundreds more volunteers and supporters join together in a spirited and fun festival of rugby that means so much to all those involved.’
Spectators are encouraged to attend and support the next generation of Channel Islands rugby talent. Further details and the full match schedule can be found at https://www.guernseyrugbyacademy.com/junior-siam-2026.
