It follows written questions from Deputy Lester Queripel, who asked if Guernsey would follow Jersey in using the technology to catch offenders in the act.
'Following a successful trial period in early 2013, the Guernsey Police force has introduced body-worn CCTV equipment for operational staff in order to supplement the camera equipment installed in many of the marked police vehicles,' said Home minister Jonathan Le Tocq.
'These devices, a little larger than a credit card, show a notice and warning light when recording.
'Guernsey Police report that notification to individuals that their actions are being recorded often has a calming effect on these individuals' behaviour, as well as providing useful evidence.'
