Some jobs to go as Hambros and Kleinwort Benson merge
PRIVATE BANKS Kleinwort Benson and SG Hambros are to come together in Guernsey in Hambros' offices in St Julian's Avenue.

With the merger of KB and Societe Generale Private Banking Hambros now completed, under the new brand of Kleinwort Hambros, the business has decided that some 170 staff from KB will leave KB's home in Dorey Court at Admiral Park and move to join 110 Hambros colleagues on new floors currently being refurbished at St Julian's Court.
The move is expected to take place during the first quarter of next year.
A few people are to lose their job as a result of the merger – the bank said 'a small number of staff have been impacted by the integration' – but 'every effort has been made to keep these numbers to a minimum'.
