A change of use planning application has been submitted for La Moye Vinery, Vale, which could see the glasshouse’s use switched from horticultural to processing seaweed.

Stan Brouard MD Rodney Brouard said they were interested in taking over George Clacy’s seaweed business and growing it substantially.

‘It is all in the very early stages,’ he said.

‘I don’t know if we will do it.’

The planning application can be viewed at Sir Charles Frossard House.
