Work on the Le Vieux Jardin is set to finally begin this month, after years of planning, and will create the first facility of its kind in the island.
Eight specialist bungalows will be built in the field alongside La Nouvelle Maraitaine, as well as 20 one-bedroom flats, which it is hoped will be used for a mix of supported housing, partial ownership and general rental.
It will all cost just over £5m.
