Boatworks+ is a provider of chandlery and marine services in Guernsey, and being on Castle Emplacement, are perfectly placed to be able to support this year’s celebrations.

Mark Nightingale from Boatworks+ Guernsey is pleased to be able to support celebrations this year.

‘Here at Boatworks+, we feel we’re right in the centre of the activity this year, and therefore are really pleased to put ourselves forward as a Hero Sponsor.

‘Liberation Day is one of the biggest community events in the Guernsey calendar, and we can’t wait to be a part of it.’

Head of Marketing and Events, Sport and Culture Nikki Symons said Boatworks+ is the only boatyard in St Peter Port harbour, and they are a very valued local business.

‘Having them support Liberation Day is fantastic news and we’re looking forward to this partnership.’

On Castle Emplacement there will be charities and stallholders, old-fashioned games like splat the rat and pin the tail on the donkey, even some from the 1940’s. There will be Aquativity fun with the WaterPeddlerz and Zorbing Balls as well as the Petit Train travelling up and down free of charge.

Islanders can also get into Castle Cornet for free all day with some live music in the afternoon 2pm to 5pm.

n There is still time to become a Hero Sponsor with lots of activities and entertainment up for sponsorship.
