The 62 dolphins were auctioned off at the Peninsula Hotel on Wednesday evening, raising more than £40,000 for Autism Guernsey and the GSPCA.
More than 100 people attended the auction.
‘One of the pre-bids was in Cumbria and from someone in New York. Two of the dolphins were bought and then donated back to the GSPCA so we can re-auction them,’ said GSPCA manager Steve Byrne.
‘As far as we’re aware, all of the dolphins are staying in the island.
‘Some of them will be surprise gifts and will be popping up in people’s gardens. There are some really lovely things happening with some of them.
‘A few of the sponsors managed to get theirs back too.’
The highest bid of the evening was £1,600 for Fairytale, painted by Dom Ogier-Keltie and sponsored by TISE.
Another popular sculpture was Hermia, sponsored by Herm Island and decorated by India Waterhouse, which sold for £1,250.
‘It’s been a privilege to be part of such a creative and impactful initiative,’ said Autism Guernsey director Andrew Sparks.
‘The funds raised will make a real difference to the lives of those we support.’
Conversations are already taking place regarding the next trail in 2026, which may feature a Christmas theme.
