It includes a number of minor changes to those originally proposed by taking on feedback received, including retention of some early morning journeys and routes. Further feedback is now being invited on updated proposals for specific routes.

These include a change to the inbound route 61 to provide a direct service from the west coast to St Peter’s village and retaining a two-hourly service for routes 93 and 94 for direct connections between the airport and hospital.

‘We’ve listened carefully to the feedback we received from bus users and the wider public, and it has been invaluable in helping us refine these proposals,’ said Environment & Infrastructure committee president Adrian Gabriel.

‘We are pleased to be moving forward with improvements designed to make services more reliable and better suited to people’s needs, while ensuring they remain deliverable at no net additional cost.

‘We want to make sure the final timetable works as well as possible for the community.’

The updated proposals can be viewed at gov.gg/bustimetable and people can email passengertransport@gov.gg to share their views.

The deadline for feedback is 5pm on Sunday 21 June.

Once the changes to the timetable have been approved, they are expected to come into effect in September.
