They are led by Guernsey singer and performer Rachel Dawson, a veteran of the Guernsey Street Festival and its predecessor, the Town Carnival.
She brought friends Millie Ady, Sam Jones and George Burt to the island for their first performances as a group.
‘I’ve done the festival every year it has existed and my mum organises the event,’ she said.
Miss Dawson said that the annual summer festival had been ‘hugely important’ in solidifying her love for music and encouraging her to eventually pursue a career in it.
Her enthusiasm for the event and experience gained encouraged mum Claire to set up the festival after the demise of the carnival.
‘The carnival was such a help for my music career, and mum thought it would be a shame for it not to exist for others when it stopped.
‘That’s why she set up the Street Festival,’ she said.
Miss Dawson hoped that the opportunity to perform on St Peter Port’s streets would continue to inspire young islanders to consider a career in music and provide them with a much-needed space to get in front of live crowds.
‘The festival is so important for future generations of Guernsey musicians,’ she said.
The Graduates are playing sets every day this week until the festival comes to an end on Saturday.
They are playing a mix of well-known pop hits and a few of their own songs.
