A scheduled clean took place on Tuesday afternoon, and the barriers were removed yesterday morning.
The pool was closed last Wednesday afternoon following investigations after a water quality sample came back as ‘poor’.
Swimmers Paulette McEneaney and Naomi Wakeford were among the first to go back in the water, and were satisfied that the issue was resolved.
‘It’s absolutely fantastic being back, we swim every morning all year round,’ said Ms McEneaney.
Ms Wakeford said that she would have been prepared to swim in the pool regardless of the quality test results.
‘The pool has filled and emptied loads of times, the tide comes in and clears it up, I’d have swum in it anyhow,’ she said.
The pair had not realised the Ladies’ Pool was open again yesterday morning but saw it on the app for the cafe.
‘Two sea water samples have been taken from the pool while it’s been closed and both samples have met the "excellent" standard,’ said director of Environmental Health & Pollution Regulation, Tobin Cook.
‘In addition, after drainage works took place more dye testing has been carried out and no further escaped dye has been detected.
‘Environmental Health officers will remain in contact with the team at the Bathing Pools about additional long-term protections being put in place.’
The Ladies’ and Children’s Pools will be closed for the Channel Islands Pride event at La Vallette from lunchtime on Saturday, with the road closed from 9am and the cafe closed from noon.
The cafe will reopen on Sunday from 7am to 4pm before it closes again on Monday, for a private event and end of summer maintenance.
