Most of us are taught from a young age to think about other people; the concept of thinking about self is pretty much pushed aside in favour of good manners and smooth social interaction. And while Emma Cunningham is all for ordered society with taking turns and being polite, she also strongly advocates for self-reflection and self-study. Because thinking about self does not have to be selfish.
