Island star Agris Dulbinskis led the way in both points scored and average points-per-game in an outstanding personal season for his Mayside Recycleballers team to take the main top-flight individual honour at the Guernsey Basketball Association awards.
Dulbinskis finished with 382 points at an average of 34.73 per game and, just for good measure, his 48 points in the 97-74 win over Heritage Falcons in April was the most points in a single Division One game.
The Division Two MVP award went to Jeff Stuart, of double-winners LMS Used while Most Promising Junior was won by Louis Hunter and Rookie of the Year went to Nauris Stalidzans.
Markuss Embutnieks was the recipient of the Division Three MVP award, whose 255 points came at a healthy average of 31.88 per game.
In the Women’s Division, Gemma Batiste, of Team Comets was awarded the MVP honours as she led the way with 190 points and her island teammate Emma Sykes, of champions Ravenscroft, was presented with the Most Improved Female prize.
Steph Beausire won the ‘6th Man’ award.
In other categories, the coaches award went to Luke Vaudin and Matt Sawbridge while the ‘President’s Pick’ recognised Ben Colley and Dan Marriott.
The Barry Robilliard Trophy for services to basketball was awarded to Josh Hamon and the PJ Henry Trophy for meritorious conduct was won by Louis Ozanne and Harry Sykes.
