Although the margin of victory was given a lopsided look by a couple of late goals as Guernsey FC chased the game, East Grinstead thoroughly deserved to return home with all three points from the first Bostik South-East game at Footes Lane in 2019 as much for their nous as their quality.
However, in two-goal Striker Jerson Dos Santos, the streetwise visitors did have a player of real quality and he was well supported by Gregory Cundle, who also scored a brace.
On a soaking wet pitch, GFC had twice led in the first half – through Charlton Gauvain's opener and Liam Mahon's fine strike – but the Wasps were level at 2-2 at half-time before taking control of the match in the second half.
