ZAK DAMARELL hopes it will be third time lucky in the Upton after his Colombians retained the Ogier Men’s Division One crown on Saturday.

Their 14-1 win over a weakened Yobbos side missing most of their Elizabeth College contingent, including master Matt Stokes, made it three domestic titles in a row for Damarell’s side, but in that time they have yet to convert it into a Channel Islands club championship.

‘Obviously it would be a great achievement to win that trophy and we’re looking forward to the opportunity,’ said the Colombians captain.

‘That is now one of the two really big games left this season for many of us – that and the inter-insular.’

In his own personal quest to finish as the league’s top scorer, Sam Dawes led the rout of Yobbos with seven goals.

That briefly brought him level with his island teammate Steve Waldrom at the top of the chart, but Waldrom then hit five for Indies in their 7-0 win over Casuals.
