Sarre was due to make four figures in charge of last night’s big scheduled FNB Priaulx League game between Northerners and St Martin’s.

But the stalwart ref called the game off 15 minutes ahead of kick-off with all but one of the Grand Fort Road side lights failing to ignite and half the pitch in semi-darkness.

The game will be re-arranged and Sarre awaits his next appointment in charge of this weekend’s Belgraves-Alderney game.

Meanwhile, Jersey fans were requested to stay away from their own big Premiership game due to Jersey's coronavirus restrictions on gatherings. Last night’s game was between St Ouen and defending champions Wanderers who went into the match sitting eight and six points behind St Paul’s respectively.
