Guernsey’s senior sides welcome Jersey on Saturday 17 May for the first Muratti day at the new home of island football, which was officially opened last month.
The women kick off at 10.30am and the men at 3pm, with separate tickets being sold for the two matches and gates opening 90 minutes ahead of each game.
Guernsey’s men are looking to lift the famous trophy for the first time in eight years, having last won it at Footes Lane in 2017.
While the island’s women go in as the holders having ended their 16-year wait for success with victory at Springfield last May.
The Guernsey Football Association says it will be a ticket-only event and ‘significant demand is expected’.
Tickets can be bought online via the Victoria Park website.
DFDS to run one-off Muratti ferry service for Jersey fans
A one-off Muratti ferry service will allow Jersey’s football fans to travel to Guernsey for the inter-island matches.
DFDS, which is yet to announce details of a regular inter-island ferry, is running the service from Jersey on Saturday 17 May.
The ferry will depart at 7.30am on the morning of the men’s and women’s Muratti games, arriving in Guernsey at 9.30am, with the return departure from St Peter Port at 7pm.
However, this is still subject to confirmation from ports in both islands.
‘Muratti Day remains a special day in the Channel Islands sporting calendar, and we’re pleased to see this additional service from DFDS to get family, friends and other supporters to Guernsey for the two matches, and back again,’ said Jersey Football Association chief executive officer Tim Pryor.
‘It’ll no doubt be a big boost to the Jersey squads to have an increased away support at Victoria Park for what should be a memorable occasion at the new stadium.’
DFDS has said that plans for a regular inter-island offering were being finalised in conjunction with the island authorities and other ferry operators.
It has stated that the service will begin in June and that they hoped to release further details next week.
