The Greens are bidding to win the fixture for the third season in a row, having ended a 16-year wait for glory at Springfield with a 2-0 victory in 2024.
Anna Gauvain’s side followed that up with a 2-1 triumph at Victoria Park last year but will have to do without star striker Calleigh Hedley this time.
Last year’s player-of-the-match has recently become a mother, while Vicki Rang - who played a leading role two years ago - is also missing from the squad for this weekend.
Included in the 16 are young forward Ruby Smith, who finished Guernsey FC’s season in fine goal-scoring form and midfielder Heidi Dawber, who has fought back from multiple injury setbacks to become a steady presence for the Green Lionesses.
They join Mollie Watson, Kellie Creed, and Alana Hockey as potential Muratti debutants, while Roch Mullen features in her first squad since 2009 having returned to football in recent times.
Dawber scored an outstanding goal last month as GFC signed off their debut English league season with a third win in four outings as they finished seventh in the Southern Region Women’s Division One South.
This year’s Women’s Muratti is being staged as a standalone occasion to the men’s showpiece and kicks off at 1.30pm.
Having played their part in a Guernsey Muratti double last year, the island’s women will be hoping to make to make it a double-double after the men’s brilliant Springfield win last weekend.
