Led by captain Mark Robert of the 5th Guernsey Company, the parade marched from Wesley Methodist Church through the streets into Admiral Park.

It included members of the 2nd and 5th Guernsey Boys’ Brigade, as well as the Boys’ Brigade band, and was followed by the company section, junior section, and anchor section.

‘It’s a huge part of our calendar,’ said Lt Craig Curzon from the 5th Guernsey Boys Brigade.

‘Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to march to Wesley Church where the service was being held. But the weather cleared up enough for us to march back. It’s wonderful to have so many members turn up suited and booted and lovely to see the church so full. We’re an inclusive company, welcoming both boys and girls, and it’s always so nice to join with our friends from the 2nd Guernsey Boys’ Brigade for our annual Battalion service. Next year it will be hosted by them at St Mary’s Church, L’Islet.’

Mr Curzon thanked captains Mark Robert and Steve England for their continued support and dedication to the Guernsey Battalion.
