Additional events include dancing, fancy dress and storytelling, and local artists will be given stalls to showcase their work.
The festival will be one week shorter than in previous years, running from Saturday 1 to Saturday 8 August.
The decision to trim back was made earlier this year due to reduced funding and a lack of volunteers.
Guernsey Street Festival’s team said it was are still looking for volunteers and sponsors for this year, with perks available including advertisements on display at performance zones, and posters and banners throughout St Peter Port, alongside social media and other formats.
‘We’re just as committed to putting on a meaningful event that champions local talent,’ said Guernsey Street Festival founder and chairwoman Claire Dawson.
‘It’s been absolutely lovely to witness the Market Square transform into the hub of life and vibrancy that it is now, and we’re excited to see how we can continue to operate in that space.’
The website, guernseystreetfestival.com, will provide a full schedule with listed information on performers for the week, which will be released soon.
