Chalmers crowned national champion in Sheffield
THE GIAAC saw one of its brightest young prospects crowned National Indoor Champion in Sheffield at the weekend.

Alistair Chalmers, who has only been competing within the sport for a short period, built upon the promise he showed last year over the sprint hurdles to win the under-15 boys' 60 metre hurdles final.
His time of 8.52 seconds was not only good enough to take the championship title, but it also places the 13-year-old ninth on the UK all-time list for the indoor event.
