Developers Infinity have applied for planning permission to build 85 new homes on the land around the complex, which houses Guernsey’s main cinema.
Infinity will be at the meeting on Wednesday this week to show what is proposed and talk about the plans.
The meeting has been instigated by parish officials.
‘We approached the contractors on the basis that we wanted people in the parish to be kept informed,’ said senior constable Wayne Bertrand.
He said that the meeting had been publicised on the parish website and social media, and the douzaine hoped it would be well attended.
The parish has not yet decided what it might say to the Development & Planning Authority in any representation on the proposals.
‘We need to see the presentation to understand more about what has been proposed,’ Mr Bertrand said.
The application is in outline, meaning it is giving a rough idea of what could be developed. Originally an application for just over 100 homes was submitted in April, but a revision last month saw this scaled back to 34 dwellings and 51 flats.
Most of the units, 63, are one- or two-bed.
Of the homes, 69 would be for the Guernsey Housing Association and 16 for private developer Infinity.
The plans can be viewed at gov.gg/liveplanningapplications.
The meeting is taking place at the Forest Douzaine room at 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Any representations need to be submitted to planning by Friday 10 October.
