Prices increased 4.3% in the year ending 30 June, up from 4% at the end of the previous quarter and 3.4% at the end of last year.
The largest contributors to rising prices were fuel and light, housing, tobacco and catering, according to the latest inflation bulletin released by the States today.
Prices are rising faster in Guernsey than in Jersey and the UK, both of which recorded a headline rate of inflation of 2.8% in the year ending 30 June.
