Against doctor’s orders and his better judgement, Simon De La Rue hauled his weighty frame around various patches of the Bailiwick for this year’s All Terrain Challenge, and was left both exhausted and elated.

Among the participants at the 480th Guernsey parkrun was a silver medallist from Sydney 2000. After the run was over, Simon De La Rue caught up with Rob Allen.
